I've been inspired by nature and the beauty of autumn this year, and I feel autumnal colours seem to be knocking at my door at every turn.
Most recently, trend forecasting and analytics company WGSN and Colouro colour system announced their Global Colour Forecast for A/W 24/25. This forecast aligns with influences driving consumers, including well-being, creativity, the environment and technology. All intersections of influence that Potent Sapiens by Design specialises in.
All five of their key colours in the global forecast resonate, but none more so than Intense Rust. This deeply rich and warm shade balances luxury with a raw, earthy edge that perfectly compliments natural wood and industrial metallics.
The trend forecast goes on to say
WGSN and Colouro Global Colour Forecast A/W 24/25
"Intense Rust is inspired by consumers increasingly valuing sustainability over newness, which includes resale culture and products with long-term appeal. This colour communicates authenticity and quiet luxury and promotes the return of classic design."
To say I'm a fan is an understatement! It was an itch I had to scratch, so I've pulled together an autumnal lounge scheme inspired by the above.
